ARRANGED

Logline: Two 20 something Indian Americans are forced by family pressures to get an arranged marriage that neither want but both need. 

Summary: Anita, a strong willed and independent chef on the rise in the city, meets Mayank, an oddball superdork with a lovable charm. And by meet, we mean Mayank lets himself into her apartment and waits by her bed until she wake’s up! It’s okay though because it’s Mayank. He’s harmless. Mayank and Anita’s parents are very on board with the arrangement but Anita is not at all ready to give up her wonderful life and settle for someone she doesn’t love. Through a series of events an unlikely friendship ensues, and a unique twist leaves the audience on the edge of their seats in this odd couple comedy.
